**Monday Update**

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office confirms the victim, Mario Aguilar Comacho, had been deported several times.   Comacho had illegally entered the United States on five occasions: once each in 1996, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2005, according to the Sheriff's Office.  Comacho was arrested on November 1, 2007, in Pickens County, for public disorderly conduct and malicious damage to property.  He was deported on February 23, 2008.   On June 28, 2008, Pickens County deputies responded to a possible drowning call.  Rescue crews recovered Comacho's body, four months after he was last deported.

A man is dead after a drowning on Lake Keowee Saturday afternoon.  According to the Pickens County Coroner, the man was seen swimming between one of the coves near Warpath Landing but never came out of the water.

The dive team was called to the scene and the body was recovered a short time later.

The coroner is trying to reach next of kin, so no name has been released.   No word on what happened to the man, who is said to be a native of Mexico.

The drowning is still under investigation.
